The Zippo U.S. Marines Emblem model 280MAR is a classic Brushed Chrome windproof lighter from Zippo’s long-running military insignia range. Its front features the distinctive raised U.S. Marine Corps emblem, giving the otherwise understated brushed chrome case a strong military character. The model is built on Zippo’s traditional regular-size lighter and combines the dimensional emblem with the clean, durable appearance of the Brushed Chrome finish. Documented examples from the mid-1990s include a 1995 production date, placing this version firmly in the vintage era of Zippo’s U.S. military-themed collectibles. Model 280MAR remains a recognizable piece of Zippo history for collectors interested in vintage U.S. Marines and military insignia lighters.
